How we verify every provider on TendVillage

Most care platforms let anyone make a profile in two minutes. We do the opposite, on purpose.
Before a provider appears on TendVillage, we do three things ourselves:
1. Identity, verified
We meet them or check government ID. The name on the listing is the person who shows up at your door.
2. References, actually called
We phone real families they've worked for and ask the questions you would ask. Not star ratings from strangers — conversations with neighbors.
3. Registry, screened
Every provider is checked against the North Carolina registry before their listing goes live, and the screening date is shown right on their profile.
Why so slow?
Because the badge has to mean something. Our directory grows slowly and that's the point — every profile you see has been through all three steps.
