TendVillage (tendvillage.com) is run by Human Compute LLC, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA. This page says what we collect, why, and who sees it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@tendvillage.com.
What we collect
- Your sign-in details. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. If you sign in with an email link we receive only the email address you type. We never see or store a password.
- What you put on the site. Your profile, the requests you post, what you send when you offer for one, progress notes, proof of work, reviews, and messages sent through our contact forms.
- Payment details you choose to give us, such as the email address a payout should go to. We do not collect or store card numbers.
- Basic technical records. The IP address and time of sign-ins and security-relevant actions, kept in an audit log to protect accounts.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts on this site.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- We do not use tracking cookies. Staying signed in uses a token kept in your own browser's storage, which is removed when you sign out.
Who sees what
- Public: anything you publish to be seen, such as a public profile or an open request on the board. Your email address and phone number are never shown publicly.
- The other side of a request: when you offer for a request, or accept someone for yours, the two of you see each other's name and the contact details needed to get the work done.
- Companies that run parts of the service for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and sending email), Mailgun (a backup route for email), Google (if you choose Google sign-in) and PayPal (only when a payout is sent to you). They process data on our instructions and for that purpose only.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal details. We keep the minimum records we are legally required to keep, such as payment records, and the security audit log.
Your choices
You can see and change your details on your account page. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time by emailing hello@tendvillage.com. We answer within 30 days.
Children
TendVillage is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and they may not open an account.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and update the date above before the change takes effect.
